Greg
Shay is the original composer of BabyBaby.
Greg
has 19 years of combined experience in operating company management/reengineering,
corporate acquisitions, finance, and real estate. Currently
Greg is a Director, Executive Vice President of Finance, and
President of European Operations for a Boston based real-estate
development company. Prior to this current full time position,
Greg was the CEO of the world's largest parking services operator
located in Houston, Texas. The company was Allright Parking
Corporation before it was successfully sold to Central Parking
(NYSE -CPC). Greg is a graduate of Brown University in Providence,
Rhode Island. He holds degrees in Mechanical Engineering and
Economics.
Greg has no formal music training except for a failed attempt
at guitar lessons in 4th grade. The initial creation of BabyBaby
was the result of there being no simple, meaningful lullabies
to sing at bedtime time, and a free version of Cakewalk Software
(not pirated - free with a sound card purchase). Greg teamed
up with Dan Weingartner and Teresa Rodriguez in early 2001 to
turn BabyBaby from a large collection of verses and a rough
Cakewalk file to the soothing sound that is BabyBaby today.
Greg is
a native of Carlisle, Massachusetts. He has been married for
10 years, and has three sons ages 8, 6, and 2 who were the driving
force behind BabyBaby.
